The World

Learning idk

Gonna try to document my journey of becoming more "cracked", learning as much as possible. Mainly going to be trying to expand my cs knowledge but maybe I'll learn some other stuff along the way as well.

Not gonna update daily or anything like that because a close friend of mine said something if you have enough time to do something like daily updates you are not going fast enough.

So I will start off my documentation of this journey with this update

Reading this book: "The Elements of Computing Systems: Building a Modern Computer from First Principles" by Noam Nisan, Shimon Schocken

Saw this guy on twitter named Ludwig recommended this on his blog so I gave it a try. I don't know if it is the perfect starting place but the most important thing is starting, not making sure everything is perfect.

I'm already a third year in a "Software Engineering" (whatever that means) program in university. Reading this book has made me realize I know more than I thought to be honest. I was expecting to read this book and learn a lot but I thought to myself "maybe I have been paying better attention in my classes than I thought?" But it is a good book, no complaints, really good if you don't know anything. I'm about half way done with it so I'm going to continue skimming through it until I find something I want to better familiarize myself with.

When I first tried out bearblog thought it was kind of lame and I would have to make my own Hugo site. After previewing this post, this is kinda cool. :)

I might read about compilers next, perhaps "Crafting Interpreters"?
